“I’ve always wanted to make my own traditional buckskin regalia but had no idea where to start until I had the opportunity to attend EWR’s regalia making workshop. Raven, Chris, and Nokomis were all so helpful and patient in their instructions and assistance, truly making you feel that there is no such thing as a dumb question. “Wingapo / Tawnishi / Greetings, My niece, nephews, and I participated in regalia and moccasin sewing classes. The programs were well organized with materials and volunteers. Chris, Raven, Nokomis, and a couple of skilled and knowledgeable community members assisted attendees with their projects. They are all dedicated to uniting the Indigenous community and cultivating and preserving cultural tradition. They are supporting our youth and providing them with positive and structured events that help them stay connected. Their work makes a difference.
